soils where lawns are thin or mowed too
short.

- cool season perennial
- reproduces by seeds and root pieces
- has a long sturdy taproot
- the flowers are yellow and up to 2″ in
diameter on up to 20″ long stems - the flowers ripen to become puffballs
of seeds from Spring until Fall - reacts to some but not all
pre-emergents and most post
